Blizzard have released previews for the two upcoming public events in patch 10.2, Superbloom and Emerald Bounty! The preview provides detailed information about the Ancient of Life who will oversee the Superbloom, as well as the Dreamfruit and the new Bloom Quality bar, which will enhance another event connected to the Emerald Bounty.
10.2 Public Events (Source)
In the Guardians of the Dream patch, there are some fresh public events that intertwine within the Emerald Dream zone.
The Superbloom
The Superbloom is the new primary public scenario event in the Emerald Dream. Players will accompany an Ancient of Life named Sprucecrown as he commences a ritual to bring life to Amirdrassil, the budding world tree. Assistance will be required for various tasks, such as watering flowers and removing weeds. However, danger lurks as the Primalists will not allow the tree to be empowered without resistance.
The event commences at the beginning of each hour.
Dreamfruit
As Sprucecrown performs his ritual, certain trees will grow bearing large Dreamfruit. These Dreamfruit bestow significant powers to aid players during the event and in the surrounding zone.
Dreamfruit are rare and potent. Initially, players may only see one and gain one power. However, as players progress in renown with the Dream Wardens and gain insight into the mysteries of the Dream, they will be able to see up to four available Dreamfruit, thereby gaining up to four powers.
Each individual Dreamfruit during the Superbloom possesses its own unique pool of blessings. Some offer formidable combat abilities, while others provide powers to advance the Superbloom to higher levels of Bloom. Mix and match these powers for an enjoyable experience!
Bloom Quality
Public events in Dragonflight have undergone numerous iterations, and after considering feedback regarding the reward structure for Researchers under Fire, a new iteration has been introduced. During the Superbloom, players will earn “Bloom,” which fills a bar at the top of the screen. The main, substantial reward for the Superbloom will be granted once a week upon the first completion, regardless of the amount of Bloom collected. Higher levels of Bloom offer additional rewards. The primary impact of Bloom Quality is the strength of the next public event, the Emerald Frenzy, which is connected to the Emerald Bounty.
The Emerald Bounty
The Emerald Bounty consists of a series of micro events that can be triggered by players throughout the zone. It is divided into two parts: The Emerald Frenzy & Planting Dreamseeds.
The Emerald Frenzy
This small event occurs immediately after the Superbloom. A random area in the zone will become infused with life energies for a brief period, causing the wildlife in the area to become frenzied! During this frenzy, enemies will become more formidable but will also drop larger quantities of the Emerald Dewdrop currency. The amount of Dewdrops dropped by enemies will increase based on the Bloom Quality achieved at the end of the latest Superbloom.
Planting Dreamseeds
Throughout the zone, players will come across small patches of soil. They will also discover Dreamseeds during their journeys in the Dream. Players can plant a Dreamseed in any patch of soil to initiate an Emerald Bounty event. The Dreamseed will begin to grow, and players can contribute Emerald Dewdrops or even more Dreamseeds to encourage the plant’s growth. Once the plant completes its growth cycle, which only takes a few minutes, it will share its bounty with those who assisted in its growth.
