Here’s A Closer Look At Call Of Duty: MW3’s Remastered Maps

Experience the thrill of classic multiplayer maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3! Activision has unveiled a new video and blog post showcasing the remastered maps from the iconic Modern Warfare 2. Get ready for the launch of Modern Warfare 3 on November 10 and prepare to dive into 16 fully remastered maps, including Afghan, Derail, Estate, Favela, and more.

The team at Sledgehammer Games has worked tirelessly to maintain the essence of these beloved maps while incorporating modern mechanics from current Call of Duty titles. Climb and mantle those hard-to-reach ledges and sniper vantage points in Highrise with ease. Engage in frenetic, close-quarters combat with confidence as you navigate alleyways and rooftops with tactical sprinting and leaping.

With graphical improvements and greater levels of detail, these remastered maps offer enhanced enemy visibility and a fresh look. Notice the changes in Favela, where the streets are now lined with different vehicle models and the original soccer pitch has been paved over with blue acrylic-coated blacktop.

It’s important to note that these Modern Warfare 3 versions of the maps were built from the ground up, ensuring a unique and authentic experience. They are not edited versions from existing maps or games. Immerse yourself in the nostalgia of these classic maps and discover the new details and surprises they hold.

In addition to the 16 remastered maps for standard core modes, Modern Warfare 3 will feature four massive environments. Three of these environments will be used for Ground War and Invasion maps, while one is specifically designed for the return of Call of Duty: WWII’s War mode.
